Kenichi caringly cooks his broth for a week with a special secret set of ingredients that makes the ramen rich and flavorful. A deep amber color, it’s near creamy, but not too fatty.

 

All the ingredients come vacuum sealed and partially frozen. Simply bring to room temp in a bath of hot water, and then warm the broth while you cook the noodles for a quick 2 minutes. Then, simply add the pork chashu, onions, lime, and garlic bread onto the soup to warm them up to eating temp in seconds.

Those who have long followed Kenichi Kawashima’s history as a Chef in San Francisco may have had the luck to try his hand-crafted ramen. Always remarked is the unique flavor of his broth flavor, which comes from a week-long simmering of flavors including pork, vegetables, and a secret blend of Japanese and Thai spices. Together, an incredible flavor.

Fresh Noodles

Unlike many ramen companies, Kawashima’s ramen comes with fresh noodles, shipped frozen so you can enjoy them with the true and correct consistency with your ramen soup.

Noodles are made a particular size which is appropriate for this type of flavor ramen. The noodles are a correct proportion as well - to ensure a perfect balance between soup broth and noodle starch. Only 2 minutes of cooking is needed to arrive at the correct texture.

Condiments

The finishing touches to the perfect bowl of ramen are the 4 essential condiments that come with your shipment. Pork chashu is slowly roasted and sliced providing the traditional classic protein to compliment the flavorful both. Lime plus Keifer lime leaves together add a balance of tartness in the soup complimenting the zesty broth. Finally, onions and Kenichi’s unexpected garlic bread adds a perfect companion to the overall meal.
